“ Absolutely fantastic! The man presenting the tour was funny and well-informed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone and will rebook again. The scenery was absolutely beautiful as well. My daughter enjoyed looking at the turtles, ducks and fish.
We had intended to go on the Army Duck tour but as it was full we decided to try the riverboat cruise which was a gentle sail along the Barron River and the added bonus of spotting a freshwater crocodile. All in all a nice way to end the day at Kuranda before catching the train back.

4 months agoThe tour guide was really funny, very informative and we saw a lot of animals! We saw turtles, crocs and some other rare animals. Probably my best experience in Kuranda. Totally recommend. The tour guide engages a lot with the people as well. Nice view as well.
6 months agoThe lady who did our tour was wonderful! She was so informative and her voice was relaxing to listen to. She saw two crocs and showed us them while also teaching us the difference between saltwater and freshwater crocs! Overall the boat tour was very fun and I would recommend it.

11 months agoLoved it! Highly recommend to all ages! Interesting history for the area and to learn about the hydro. Super fun feeding the fish and turtles, as well as spotting a freshwater croc. Very well run tour! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
1 year agoVery informative tour and friendly guide. Pleasant trip in beautiful surroundings. Only JUST saw 2 small crocodiles. On the tour we were told only a half a dozen live there, so was disappointed as l thought would see more. Glad we did it, but wouldn’t pay to do again.
1 year agoInformative, saw more than I thought, ducks, fish, titles and crocodiles. Clean boat and pristine landscape. Glad we booked. Tour operator waited for people travelling on SkyRail Kuranda train, which we were happy about although didn't know that when the train was late.
1 year agoA theatrical and informative commentary. Although the cruise is only 45 minutes long, it was very insightful. We no longer see freshwater crocodiles as deadly predators like their saltwater counterparts but as puppy dogs. It’s always fascinating learning about our amazing wildlife through the eyes of someone else. Would definitely recommend.
1 year agoTalk about bang for your buck! I couldn’t recommend this river boat cruise more. Our guide was very welcoming and full of knowledge on the flora & fauna as well as the history of the rainforest. On top of learning all bout the area we got to see three fresh water crocs! Overall a great experience.
1 year ago“The river is home to a host of wildlife including freshwater crocodiles, turtles, snakes, water dragons and fish together with over 100 species of tropical birds! Suitable for all ages.”
