Location

Experience one of the great natural wonders of the world on this Great Barrier Reef cruise from Cairns. Enjoy 5 hours on the Outer Great Barrier Reef visiting two premium coral reef locations in one day with Indigenous sea rangers. Unlike other Great Barrier Reef cruises, this is the only Cairns' reef tour that includes a cultural experience with Dreamtime stories and traditional dance and didgeridoo performances while out on the reef.

After an Indigenous welcome aboard, passengers will have ample time to snorkel Moore Reef and Milln Reef for an incredible encounter with colourful marine life and coral reef gardens on the Outer Barrier Reef. This Great Barrier Reef cruise includes all your snorkel equipment and wet suit hire, a complimentary morning tea, afternoon tea and buffet lunch plus some fascinating talks by marine biologists.

Great Barrier Reef cruises are the best way to experience multiple coral reef sites in one day. This cruise departs Cairns daily from the Reef Fleet Terminal at 8 am and returns at 4.30 pm and is sure to be a highlight of your stay in Far North Queensland.

Time

Cruise departure time is 9am from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. Check-in commences at 8.15am and returns at 4:30pm
Guests will receive a text message the afternoon prior to departure with berth number and vessel as well as a link to a map directing them to the correct location
Tours operate every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (subject to availability)

Great experience

Great experience! Highly recommended. Dreamtime has friendly caring staff and we enjoyed the tour to the reef. The reef is unbelievable, beautiful! You will definitely love it. Don’t forget to take anti-sick meds before the trip starts otherwise you might feel sick.

Nice staff

Nice staff, very active and interesting. Big boat, but lots of passengers as well, so could be quite crowdy during snorkelling. Very shaky on a windy day - most of us were seasick. Glass bottom boat was also cancelled last minute because of the wind. Would recommend choosing a nice calm sunny day.

The staff were great

The staff were great, explained what the day was going to be and safety instructions. Provided morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea as well as snorkelling gear. Unfortunately, the ocean was extremely rough and a lot of people got seasick. Probably should warn people not to go out during certain times of the year.

Absolutely fabulous day out on the Dreamtime snorkel and dive trip

Absolutely fabulous day out on the Dreamtime snorkel and dive trip. The boat was fantastic, there were only around 60 people so it didn’t feel like a zoo. Plenty of spots to lounge around and take in the beautiful scenery. The staff were amazing, especially with our kids (6 and 9.). They enjoyed learning about aboriginal culture. The reef spots were stunning, plenty of fish and coral to see. A wonderful day out, highly recommend.

The trip was really comfortable

The trip was really comfortable, the 2 reefs were beautiful, the staff were all very nice and welcoming, the marine biologist was extremely informative and genuinely interested, the scuba diver instructor was excellent, the food was ok. All round a really excellent trip.

Had a great day on this beautiful part of the world. The crew was so helpful and friendly. Food was good as well. We will come back again, great Indigenous Australian crew presenting their culture and history. We had a great snorkelling experience.

The tour was professionally organised

The tour was professionally organised. We visited two dive spots, both of them were very good. The crew was very friendly and was always there to assist us while snorkelling in the reef. The food served on board was also very good and the vessel was neat and clean.

What a great experience. We did enjoy it very much. Thanks for a great day at the reef. Everything was nice, good food and nice staff. Compliments for everyone. The boot was also beautiful, the gear was good and very clean. We recommend it to everyone!

We had the most wonderful trip yesterday to the Great Barrier Reef. Friendly, professional and funny crew. The glass boat unfortunately could not work due to weather conditions but the snorkelling was excellent. But better sound than sorry. Will recommend Dreamtime Dive and Snorkel if you want the best!
