Location
Spend your day exploring the gorgeous Kuranda region with this Kuranda Skyrail, Scenic Railway and Rainforestation Nature Park day tour. Departing from your accommodation with your Kuranda Boarding Pass, you'll travel en route to the base of the Kuranda Scenic Railway. With your Kuranda Boarding Pass listing your pre-allocated seats on the rail, you'll enjoy a scenic and relaxing winding journey up the Kuranda Range. This is one of Australia's most scenic rail routes as it passes through a number of beautiful natural and man-made sights including hand-hewn tunnels and bridges and cascading waterfalls and large gorges.
Upon reaching the village you're given ample time to explore it on your own. You can visit one of the many wildlife attractions, browse the shops and Heritage Markets that operate daily or simply relax at one of the cafés. The next stop on the agenda is the Rainforestation Nature Park, located a short distance from Kuranda and reached via shuttle. Set in 40 hectares of lush gardens and tropical rainforest, this is where a number of unique attractions awaits you. You'll board the unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the rainforest and visit the Koala and Wildlife Park before the shuttle bus takes you back to Kuranda.
The day is concluded with a journey back down the range aboard the scenic Skyrail. This is an experience that takes you over the rainforest canopy with stops along the way allowing you to take a stroll or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre. On completion of Skyrail you'll be met by the tour hostess who will assist with your return transfer to your accommodation. 4 months agoClear instructions, and appropriate time allocation in each attraction.
All the attractions and activities are great. And the instructions regarding the itinerary and pick-up points are clear enough to follow. I had a great time in Kuranda. There is a minor suggestion: on the Kuranda train to Freshwater station, the staff distributed the introduction to all stations on the Kuranda railway to all tourists in paper form. However, most tourists just left the papers on the train as the papers were no longer needed. Thus, these papers became rubbish. Perhaps you can provide a QR code so that the tourists who are interested in the details about each station can just scan it and get the information.
5 months agoA full day out with plenty of different things to see and do.
Took Skyrail to Kuranda then walked up to shops and restaurants. Went to butterfly sanctuary and then onto army duck tour and wildlife park to watch the crocodile feeding before catching the train back to Cairns. A very full, enjoyable day. Something for everyone.

Overall, this tour was fantastic. However, I wanted to stay Kuranda and Rainforest Station longer. I was really impressed with the beautiful scenery from Scenic Railway. If you have more stops, this train journey would be more amazing. Thank you for your excellent tour.

Great family day, loved the history, makes you appreciate the place a bit more. Great scenery, tour guides were amazing and helpful. Great organised time had by us all. Have recommended to others already. Will go back to explore village again as we were a bit rushed because we didn’t want to miss stuff.

We have a highly enjoyable experience and there is a big different experiences . The army ducks are quite nice and the tour guide Branden is very humorous and nice. The kuranda scenic train trip is wonderful but it's raining . Unlucky. We have bought many suvonia for my family. Anyway I will recommend the adventure t to my friends
