Location
Set sail for the best of the Great Barrier Reef on this tour from Cairns! This wonderful cruise package includes a return, air-conditioned luxury catamaran cruise that departs daily from Cairns then heads out for a day of marine adventure activities on the stunning Great Barrier Reef. Once the tour operator's hand-picked section of the reef (one of the most scenic in the region) is reached, you'll be able to enjoy a multitude of activities including as much snorkelling as your heart desires.
While on the water you can also embark on a guided snorkel tour with a qualified reef guide who will take you to explore the amazing coral formations and underwater gardens that are filled with vibrant aquatic life.
This cruise will visit a number of impressive sites that are perfect for snorkelling on the surface and diving into the depths with a certified scuba dive. The reefs on the agenda include Pellowe, Flynn, Milln and/or Thetford Reefs, each bursting with diverse beauty that is set to amaze. In addition to the included snorkelling guests have the option of purchasing a certified scuba dive expedition or you can learn to dive with their introductory scuba dive.
If you require a break from the aquatic adventures, on board the vessel you will be able to enjoy a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch to recharge your energy and satisfy your palate, soak up some sunshine on the spacious sun deck areas, enjoy hot freshwater showers and a licensed bar for drinks. Hotel transfers aren't included in this package however they can be added as an extra. Travel in comfort and style while enjoying one of the Wonders of the Natural World.

“ An amazing experience with Silverswift! Plenty of staff onboard to assist with all your needs. They were courteous, friendly and very safety conscious but mostly they were lots of fun. The water was quite rough on the way out to the reef that day and a number of people were seasick. The staff were fabulous looking after them and everyone else onboard. Limited numbers so very comfortable and lots of information regarding the dives and snorkelling. I honestly cannot fault anything about the experience it was amazing and I would highly recommend it.

2 years agoNice experience with kind crews and beautiful barrier reefs.
The crew were very kind.The food was buffet style and delicious. Also, there were snacks, coffee, and motion sickness medicine, which was helpful. It was a very good experience because I had enough time to go into the sea, the weather was good, and I could see the beautiful sea floor.
2 years agoThe experience was as we expected. We really enjoyed the time while in the boat. All crew members were the best.
I would do it again, we really loved the diving and snorkelling experience. All the crew members were friendly, at the time of giving us all the instructions as first divers the instructor was clear and easy to understood. Definitely I'll recommend them.

One of the best days of my life. I had such an amazing experience from start to finish. Booking was a breeze, when I called to confirm and speak with staff they were so lovely and informative and the crew onboard were also amazing! I highly recommend silverswift. We had an unforgettable day! Hours worth of snorkelling, the water was so blue and gorgeous and we saw so many beautiful fish. Worth every penny!! The food that was provided was also absolutely delicious. Plenty of options and nice and fresh and the cakes were so yum. Thank you so much, we will definitely book again next time.
2 years agoVisited 3 reefs, had morning and afternoon tea on board as well buffet lunch. Everything was great.
The trip was incredible. We had a lot of fun doing the snorkelling over 3 reefs. The crews on board were extremely friendly and attentive. You’ll be guided even though you’re a first timer to do snorkelling. You’ll never regret to go on this trip, good photos and good fun!
3 years agoFantastic day out with amazing snorkel sites, I'd go again!
The day started with a warning that the water was going to be a bit rough, all part of the unexpected wonders of this world I suppose. We sat upstairs, outside, on our way to the reef and received a splash of sea spray along the way, I was drenched, lucky it was a hot day! The 3 reef stops were amazing, words cannot describe!!! The 1st and 3rd stops were the best for snorkelling, stop 2 was a bit deeper but still breath taking! We took advantage of the free to hire stinger suits whilst we snorkelled, good thing too because we did recounter some and the food for lunch was great. The crew were knowledgeable and they also have a photographer who can take pics of you under water. It was a fantastic day out and I'm definitely recommending Silverswift to my friends and family!

The tour company was great. Seamless check in at the ferry terminal. Unfortunately, the weather was not our friend and the boast was extremely rocky. People dropping like flies being sick. Staff were amazing at helping everyone. Snacks and coffee were good. Each of the three snorkel spots was amazing! Lunch was pretty good. Good variety. All the staff were friendly and informative.

Great vessel and pontoon. The Submarine is great for people who afraid to go into the water.
1 decade ago“Take a change of clothes with you as it is much more comfortable on the return journey with dry clothes. Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen as the Tropical North Queensland sun can be extremely strong.”
