With guaranteed water levels all year round, the Barron River makes for the ideal rafting destination due to its reasonable distance form Port Douglas.
Booking this tour will let you join a friendly, experienced guide and the rest of your rafters on the alternating smooth and bumpy waters of the Barron River as it winds its way through the heart of the Barron Gorge National Park. You'll be surrounded by the beautiful greenery of tropical natural rainforest that provides a great visual contrast to the waters you'll be having fun on - if you're out for a semi-challenging, enjoyable rafting experience in the Port Douglas region, then this is the package for you!

1 year agoA fantastic couple of hours experiencing the white waters of the Baron River.
The tour was well set up considering there were something like 13 boats on the day we went. Although the Baron river is a grade 3, it's obviously dependant on how much rain there has been, would recommend taking this into account. On our run, the river was fairly low, but it was still great fun. Marco, our guide was friendly and experienced and obviously loves what he does. Would recommend to anyone, taking into account convenience of location to Cairns area.
3 years ago“Take some dry clothes with you for the return journey home, as you will get really wet on the tour. You can leave extra clothing on the bus, but it's suggested to leave any valuables at your hotel, as you won't want to lose them in the river.”
