The 3 hours spent on the pontoon went by so quickly for us. Although we didn't do the snorkelling (I am a bit scared of ocean water), my spouse did the scuba dive and she thoroughly enjoyed it and rated it better than her dive experience at Gold Coast. The trainers were very professional and had ropes for all divers to go in rather than directly jumping in the water. There is an underwater platform where you can see all the divers go in on one side and on the other side we have the reef view of fish. It's good to have for anyone who doesn't want to dive in but can still see all those divers swimming with the fish under the ocean. The submersible experience is also cool. Gives you a good view of different types of reefs with a guide talking. If you are lucky you may see the small sharks and turtles but even without them the reef below looks gorgeous. The stand out for us was the helicopter ride. It's only 15 min but worth the time and money. The ocean view from the top with different colored reefs is just breathtaking, which one can never experience when on the ocean surface.
A top-notch experience of the reef, I highly recommended it to everyone. The journey to the pontoon could be a bit dizzy if the ocean is not settled on the day so better to take medicine in advance just to make the entire experience a great one!

This tour was very informative with a marine biologist on board telling us all about the Great Barrier Reef. The snorkelling was next-level fun with what you get to see under the reef.

Amazing experience we went on the semi-submersible underwater boat and saw some amazing coral different coloured fish large small, striped Fluro orange tails, bright blue and green fish too. Amazing fresh food and seafood and a variety of different food too. The staff and service were also great!!!

Great snorkelling experience with lots of staff on standby to ensure safety of everyone in the water

Overall, a very safe snorkeling experience with lots of fish and corals to see. Improvement I can think of: (1) have someone in the water leading the group where to look; (2) insist on everyone to use hand sanitizer at the beginning of the buffet lunch queue (there were plenty of staff onboard so having one person handing out sanitizer should not be a problem).

Well organised program, all equipment provided, great lunch, friendly staff.

Although the weather wasn’t great, the snorkelling experience was fantastic. The boat is comfortable and the staff very accommodating. The reef was teaming with fish. We had a wonderful day with Quicksilver. The lunch was fresh and there was plenty of food.

Great way to see the reef with young children. All the staff are great and friendly. Plenty of food at lunchtime and a well stocked bar for the trip home. Definitely recommend this over the others, particularly with kids.

We booked this trip last minute, a massive saving booking on Experience Oz vs booking locally. The trip itself was great, a bit choppy to/from the reef. The pontoon was a great way to see the reef with young children. The submarine is also really good. All the staff are great & very helpful. Plenty of food at lunchtime and a well stocked bar for the trip home. Definitely recommend this over the others, particularly with kids.

Great day out. More help getting into the water from staff would have saved stress and time, but that was the only problem.

Everything was great. Only draw back was there was no one to help our family of 4 with small kids age 7 & 10 to get into the water to put on all our gear. Hard to hold everything with the waves coming in nearly sweeping you off the pontoon. So that was a bit stressful. Also don’t take your time doing lunch and experiencing the other activities other than snorkelling as the 3 1/2 hrs goes like that. My suggestion is to get straight on the semi sub first thing. Btw the semi sub is not for faint hearted if you can’t stand being rocked around (some of the time) in a hot tight space if you can’t handle that. One lady had a panic attack and the next trip people were on the top of the sub maybe too rocky on that trip for them. Saw a shark and turtle snorkelling. Lovely coral and fish. Thanks.

A really stunning experience! Great staff and facilities.

This has been our fourth trip to the reef and second time from Port Douglas on Quicksilver, a very comfortable ride out to the reef, and amazing views once there. The reef was the most vibrant we have seen it. Everything was made easy for us, our boys, 10 and 13 had their first experience to the reef and couldn't get enough of it!

Great day out for families. Definitely recommended.

We booked this trip last minute the night before, absolutely hassle free process and a massive saving booking on Experience Oz vs booking locally. The trip itself was great, a bit choppy on the way out to the reef but not too bad. The pontoon was a great way to see the reef with young children. Our daughter is only 5 but loved the snorkelling and looking for Nemo. The semi submersible is also really good. All the staff are great, very helpful and we enjoyed the educational talk from the onboard marine biologist. Plenty of food at lunchtime and a well stocked bar for the trip home. Disappointed not to see more at the reef despite the abundance of fish, we couldn’t find nemo or any turtles but we did spot a white tipped reef shark. Definitely recommend this over the others, particularly with kids.

Great boat, very well organised and friendly crew.

Excellent facilities, the crew were all very helpful and friendly. It’s a pity we didn’t get the chance to take a helicopter flight, but understand with covid there just weren’t enough people on board to justify it. I know it’s not great for the business but it was really nice to have a smaller group on board, and it felt like there weren’t really any cutbacks. The lunch was beautiful with some really delicious salads. I did the intro scuba diving and the staff were very informative and patient and it was amazing to breathe below the water and swim with the fish. Snorkelling was great too, the section of reef we saw was so busy with wildlife. Although parts of the boat were a little tired, everything worked how it needed to. A great day out.

Highly recommend this experience for family or couples.

I highly recommend this trip! Everything about it was amazing the staff are exceptionally nice and educated in regards to the Great Barrier Reef. One of the best experiences I have had snorkelling. I now have the best photos to return back home to show my family and friends
