For the quickest and most effective way to get to the beautiful, unspoiled Fitzroy Island, this option includes ferry transfers from Cairns that is not only an efficient way to get "from A to B" but makes for a spectacular tour in itself! Heading out from the Cairns Marina, you'll board a comfortable vessel and cruise out across the pristine reef waters towards the wonderful shores of Fitzroy Island on a journey that takes roughly 45 minutes. Once on Fitzroy Island, you'll have five hours to explore its many stunning natural offerings, taking part in a range of activities on both land and water including snorkelling, glass bottom boat tours, kayaking, island adventures and much more.

Depart Cairns at 8:30am or 10:45am, depart Fitzroy at 4pm (2:15pm departure subject to availability on the day). Arrive in Cairns at approx. 4:45pm
Guests will receive a text message the afternoon prior to departure with berth number and vessel as well as a link to a map directing them to the correct location

“ Lovely boat ride over! Friendly staff, super relaxed. Bathroom on board. Fitzroy was awesome we could’ve spent so much longer there, heaps more to do. If you need you can hire wet suits and snorkelling gear to optimise your experience! But we brought our own and had a wonderful time!

Awesome! Had a great time. My friend and I would definitely use this service again.

I give it 4.5 stars - great experience, would recommend it!

Fitzroy Island was beautiful despite the rain! We joined the 50-minute snorkelling safari. Would recommend the safari over the snorkelling experience as you get to see amazing corals! The crew from Fitzroy Island Adventures and Experience Oz were also friendly, experienced and helpful.

Very helpful when I had to change my booking date at the last minute. Very satisfied with the customer service, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The overall cruise experience was very lovely and satisfactory. I would recommend this service to everyone.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few boats that leave at the same time so this caused confusion with several people leaving. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Fitzroy Island is worth it. The package I got was not really worth it

Fitzroy Island was really pretty and the bar is really nice. I recommend only paying for the transfer. I paid for a lunch which was not worth it. I also thought snorkelling was included; it was not. It is a bit overpriced for the 45 minute transfer. But the view is nice.

A beautifu island made better by the professional crew from Fitzroy Island Adventures. From embarking on the vessel to the time we got back the crew were friendly, welcoming and professional. Being a skipper myself, I was very impressed with how the deck was run and the engagement from the skipper and crew were above and beyond. I’ll be back for sure, thanks for a great trip to Fitzroy Island.

Great day out on beautiful Fitzroy Island. Convenient and cost effective

Snorkelled and swam, had lunch at cafe. Everything conveniently located and reasonably priced, unlike some destinations that are significantly overpriced. The water was crystal clear and turtles swam through our group. Such an amazing experience and we are definitely going to book again.

Good overall experience but could be clearer how to do activities.

The boat trip and the island itself were brilliant. However, it could have been clearer how to book things to do on the island. The Nudey Beach is stunning and definitely worth visiting, although the trail there is very rocky and if it has been raining it could be dangerous.

Amazing day! We enjoyed the crystal clear water and most of all the Nudey Beach!

Amazing crew and we had a really smooth travel experience! They’re very thorough with safety guidelines and were very nice and friendly. Every second was amazing especially being able to tour around the island for the whole day! We had the best time and will definitely be back again!
